OBEY CLOTHING
Obey Clothing, founded by Shepard Fairey in 2001, is an extension of his engaged art practice, first launched in 1989 with a sticker. Influenced by punk counterculture, skateboarding, politics and marketing, the brand carries a message of personal empowerment through the provocative slogan "Obey". Collections inspired by military design and workwear serve as vehicles for Fairey’s ideals and aesthetic.
