Le Mont Saint Michel — The Art of True Clothing
Le Mont Saint Michel — The Art of True Clothing
For more than a century, Le Mont Saint Michel has upheld the art of well-made clothing. Founded in 1913 in Pontorson, between Brittany and Normandy, the house has established itself as a reference in French workwear — with jackets, trousers and knits designed to last, woven in dense, noble fabrics.
But Le Mont Saint Michel is not a frozen heritage: it is an entire wardrobe rethought with modern cuts, a contemporary reading of utilitarian style. At ADG Studio, we chose this brand because it perfectly embodies the right balance between hand, material and line.
Their celebrated numbered work jacket remains an icon — dense, textured, indestructible — but every piece in the wardrobe carries the same care:
- a wool-woven trench with a precise drape;
- a heavy marinière, with a generous weight;
- a thick cotton t-shirt, frank and structured;
- a sturdy canvas trouser, made to last, made to live.
Nothing is left to chance: fabrics are developed exclusively for the brand, weaving is done in France, and every garment carries the mark of a mastered gesture. Today, Le Mont Saint Michel joins ADG Studio: a place where clothing is thought as a design object, between heritage and reinvention.
